• This is a WINDOWS-based program (our apologies to MAC users), written in a incredibly versatile computer language called Delphi (from Borland.com). It will work on all versions of windows, from Windows 98 Thru Windows XP / Windows 2000. (Windows is a trademark of the Microsoft Corp.)
  
  
• This program was written for, and tested by, newbies, but is equally easy to use for experienced and power users.

• You do NOT NEED other software, such as HTML editors or word processors with Dead Easy - it is the ONLY eBook 'compiler' on the market with it's own, built-in Page Creator that works like a SUPER SIMPLE WORD PROCESSOR. And it does NOT use HTML for it's 'pages'.
  
  
• The built-in Page Creator is incredibly easy to use, does MORE than 'web pages' can do, but is "smart" enough to allow you to import web pages (even from the Internet!), Microsoft Word DOC files, Word Perfect Files, Rich text Files (rtf), even Excel spreadsheets!

• DeadEasy is fully licensed for MP3, but does not actually use MP3 for the internal audio - all audio is converted to a 'free' format called Ogg Vorbis, because the quality is better AND the file size is SMALLER.
  
  
• You can ADD EXE files to your DeadEasy book, insert a link to that file on any page, and when the user "Clicks' the link, DeadEasy 'unloads' the EXE file on their PC and EXECUTES THE SOFTWARE. So DeadEasy could easily be used to create install programs for software OR add software to your ebook without requiring a download.
  
  
• All DeadEasy ebooks can be branded - and branding can be controlled via a password you set. You can give a customer a brander, but he can not brand it without the password!
  
  
• ANY IMAGE, LINK, or line of text IN your eBook can be 'listed' as brandable. Once listed, the brander that you can sell or give away can change the text, the URL of the link, or the image - even banners.
  
  
• You may also set certain parts for branding JUST by you, such as the banner on the opening screen and the banner in the 'about' box.
  
  
• DeadEasy ebooks can be password protected. Or not. :-)
  
  
• You can add 'SoftArt' artwork to your eBook - simple button click, and any image can be added as a 'background' to the opening page. (You can also do the same thing for every page and every table).
  
  
• EVERY PAGE in the ebook can have an Audio file 'attached' to it, that will play when the audio buttons are clicked.' A built-in recorder will display any page you select and allow you to record an audio on the spot - such as reading the page aloud! Great way to jazz up a boring article, or make an 'old' article appear 'new'.
  
  
• You can also import (add) audio files from your PC and put them into the ebook, and 'attach' the audio to any page you like. Can you say....background music? A simple drag, drop, click, and it's done!
  
  
• IF you allow it, they can print the pages of the eBook. Or not. Up to you. BUT, your audio is safe - they can NOT reach the audio files: they are loaded from memory.
  
  
• NEVER worry about what web browser the user has or prefers. Since DeadEasy does NOT USE HTML, it does not CARE what is, or is not, installed on their PC! EVERYTHING IT NEEDS, is included in the ebook reader.
  
  
• The eBooks will run on CD's - they do NOT have to be installed first OR care what web browser is on the PC.
